EPOC Open Mic Night

EPOC Open Mic, as in Empowering People of Color Open Mic, is one of the core seasonal events hosted at La Peña Cultural Center. It was my first client work during my internship at TBD*, an in-house design studio at California College of Arts.
Olive for February, lavender for March, blue for April, and the warmest pink for the entire spring, indicating the soft stage lights that envelops performers and audiences throughout the nights.
After three weeks of research, sketching, and joining one of the EPOC nights at La Peña, we as a two designers team were able to explain “what is so empowering about EPOC” to others.
Each silhouette stands for a potential artist/charismatic performer hidden among the audience crowd.
